Jesus said, “It is not possible for anyone to enter the house of a strong man and take it by force unless he binds his hands; then he will (be able to) ransack his house.”

Jesus said, “Do not be concerned from morning until evening and from evening until morning about what you will wear.”

His disciples said, “When will You become revealed to us and when shall we see You?”

Jesus said, “When you disrobe without being ashamed and take up your garments and place them under your feet like little
children and tread on them, then [will you see] the Son of the Living One, and you will not be afraid”

The Gospel of Thomas

There was something undefined and complete, coming into existence before Heaven and Earth. How still it was and formless, standing alone, and undergoing no change, reaching everywhere and in no danger (of being exhausted)! It may be regarded as the Mother of all things.

I do not know its name, and I give it the designation of the Tao (the Way or Course). Making an effort (further) to give it a name I call it The Great.

Great, it passes on (in constant flow). Passing on, it becomes remote. Having become remote, it returns.

Tao Te Ching

All the great religions of the world have declared that the universe begins by an act of sacrifice, and have incorporated the idea of sacrifice into their most solemn rites. In Hinduism, the dawn of manifestation is said to be by sacrifice, mankind is emanated with sacrifice, and it is Deity who sacrifices Himself; the object of the sacrifice is manifestation; He cannot become manifest unless an act of sacrifice be performed, and inasmuch as nothing can be manifest until He manifests, the act of sacrifice is called “the dawn” of creation.
